Makes 12 mini burgers enough for 6 small children
You will need
› Oven temperature 170oC/ 325oF/ gas 3

Ingredients (burgers)
500g Lean minced steak
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 egg, lightly beaten

Ingredients (other)
12 x 2 inch discs of bread
12 x 2 inch discs of cheese
Tomato ketchup
6 cherry tomatoes, halved
12 cocktail sticks

To make the burgers; combine the ingredients and form into 12 meatballs, (roughly 40g each) flatten out slightly to make discs 2 inches in diameter.

Fry over a medium heat for 5 minutes on each side until golden brown and thoroughly cooked. Set aside to rest and keep warm.

Toast the bread discs on one side and place onto an oven tray toasted side up. Squirt a small amount of tomato ketchup on each and set a burger on top, then the cheese and finally half a tomato. Secure with a cocktail stick.

Set into a hot oven for 5 mins until the bottom of the bread has toasted and the cheese melts. Serve immediately.
